(PT) Mosteiro de Odivelas, um Museu em Construção
Perspetivando o futuro espaço museológico, que irá contar a história desde complexo patrimonial, desde a sua génese até à atualidade, é o momento de desvendar um pouco do fio condutor que tem motivado a construção de conhecimento sobre este polo aglutinador do território medieval, moderno e contemporâneo de Odivelas.
Através de um trabalho pluridisciplinar, que inclui as áreas de investigação de Arqueologia, Arquitetura, História da Arte e Museologia, integrado numa visão museográfica atual, a equipa que se encontra a desenvolver este projeto tem vindo a explorar as várias chaves para a compreensão e valorização do passado. Pretende-se criar uma unidade expositiva que promova a conservação e a salvaguarda patrimonial e que se transforme num motivo de encontro, de aprendizagem e de partilha entre as comunidades.
As peças em exposição resultam da seleção do espólio recolhido até ao momento, que abrange cronologias e tipologias distintas, e que transmite memórias e vivências das comunidades religiosa e educativa que aqui residiram.

Looking ahead to the future museum, which will tell us the history of this heritage complex, from its genesis to the present, it is time to unveil some of the guilding threads that have motivated the construction of knowledge on this unifying hub of medieval, modern and contemporary territory of Odivelas.
Throughout a multidisciplinary approach, that includes areas of research ranging from Archaeology, to Architecture, History, Art History and Museology, integrated into a current museographic vision, the team that is developing this project has been exploring thge various paths to understand and value the past. Our aim is to create an exhibition that promotes the conservation and safeguarding of historical heritage and that becomes a place for communities to meet, learn and share.
The pieces on display are the result of a selection from thge collection, gathered so far, which covers different chronologies and typologies and conveys the memories and experiences of the religious and educational communities that lived here.
